Meet Joanne
Real Estate Broker | Director of OperationsJoanne is a Chicagoan, born and bred. She loves the city despite its sometimes abrupt weather mood swings. She uses that love of The Windy City's diverse neighborhoods, as well as the surrounding suburbs, in helping clients find their place in the world. Her first foray into the real estate world was on the corporate side in 2015 as part of Contract Administration, then as a Broker in 2017. She became a part of the LAKE Group in July 2018. As a self-confessed organizer, people-person, and purveyor of events, she felt that her background and skill set would meld well within the real estate arena.
Her work origin story begins with more than 10 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Event Management and Customer Service in the private sector across several industries including, Marketing Research, Consumer Packaged Goods, Internet Development, Food and Beverage, Architecture, and Advertising and Media, with such companies as Bamboo Worldwide, Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, Architrave Ltd., Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Neoglyphics Media Corporation and Avon Products. Additionally, Joanne has a certificate in Project Management which is instrumental in real estate: to help achieve specific goals and meet certain success criteria within a given timeframe and constraints. Her own clients receive the benefit of her vast professional experience, her knowledge of the city, and her vivacious disposition. She thrives on communication and interpersonal relationships and finds the combination to alleviate the stress that can accompany buying/selling a property.
To maintain her sanity she relies on philanthropic pursuits which include previous volunteer work with such not-for-profit organizations as The Global Fund for Women, Dreams For Kids, Chicago Gateway Green, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Chicago Cares. Joanne currently resides in the Andersonville neighborhood with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, dining out, tackling her never-ending reading list, and searching for a fur-baby.
